
Will Palmer
Associate
Will focuses his practice on complex and general commercial litigation. Prior to joining DuBois, Bryant & Campbell, Will practiced general commercial litigation at a boutique Austin firm, with an emphasis on employment, contract, insurance, and personal injury matters. Will has extensive experience litigating all types of employment-related claims, including discrimination, contract claims, claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and claims for theft of trade secrets and other confidential information. He also advises clients on employment-related matters. He has successfully defended his cases on appeal before Texas Courts of Appeal, and he has argued in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Will started his legal career practicing commercial litigation in California, where he defended multiple class actions in federal and state court, including two multi-district antitrust class actions against electronic component manufacturers, and several contract-based class actions against airlines. He was also involved in litigation related to real estate, intellectual property, products liability, and contract disputes, including serving as second chair in a two-week jury trial on abreach of contract claim. Will earned his JD from Columbia Law School where he was the Notes Editor for the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review. While in law school, he served as a judicial intern to Hon. Laura Taylor Swain in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and was a legal intern in the Financial Fraud and Consumer Protection Division of the New York State Department of Financial Services.
Prior to his career in law, Will worked as a Technical Account Manager for Google’s DoubleClick ad platform, where he implemented attribution studies, analyzed client metrics and managed user data collection. Will is an Austin native. He is also admitted to practice law in California.

• Won summary judgment for plaintiffs in the amount of three quarters of a million dollars and imposing individual liability for corporation’s breach of contract related to sale of a business.
• Won summary judgment for company on all three causes of action brought by former employee for alleged breach of contract; successfully defended on appeal.
• Won summary judgment for defendant in premises liability action based on lack of control of premises.
• Recovered a quarter-million dollars in attorneys’ fees for breach of indemnification clause in service contract.
• After a two-week jury trial in a suit for breach of contract, obtained a verdict in client’s favor in less than 30 minutes.
• Represented two American manufacturers of electronic components in multi-district litigation alleging defendant manufacturers of conspiring to fix prices of capacitors and inductors.
• Defended two airlines against multiple consumer class actions alleging claims for breach of contract.
Pro Bono Matters
• Represented a mother and son from Guatemala seeking asylum in the United States. Filed asylum applications with USCIS; applied for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status for minor, including obtaining predicate state court orders in family court; moved to rescind and reopen in absentia removal orders; appealed to Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Served as local counsel for homeowners against city’s claim for $60k in attorneys’ fees after homeowner successfully defended receivership action brought by city.
• Negotiated more favorable terms for two clients facing eviction.
