Caitlyn Bates


Caitlyn’s primary practice areas are oil & gas and commercial litigation, ranging from title disputes to environmental tort litigation. Caitlyn has substantial experience representing producers in complaint proceedings and contested cases before the Railroad Commission (specifically salt-water disposal applications) and representing applicants and protestants in contested cases at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
Caitlyn also has a diverse background in data privacy research, civil rights litigation, and in-house corporate counsel for a Fortune 500 company, which gives her a unique perspective on both preventing and addressing clients’ business disputes with the core concerns of the business in mind.
